I love people. I want to know what makes you tick. Authentic human connection, storytelling, listening and providing deep insight are the sources of joy in my life. I have a dry, unexpected sense of humor. I am famous for being direct without diminishing your dignity.

Organizations and the people who lead them fascinate me. I have spent decades teaching in leadership academies, coaching executives and pulling together teams that were ready to quit. I have been called a career therapist, able to reveal talent capacity and potential.

I light up in front of an audience, which is a little weird because I’m not a chatty, center of attention person. I have the uncanny ability to bring a room with me on a journey of insight and inspiration. I get in your head (in a good way).

Helen Horyza is an expert in the field of career development, employee development, engagement and retention. She is an accomplished trainer, motivational speaker and executive coach. Helen holds a Master of Science degree in Career Counseling from California State University, Sacramento (CSUS) and is a professionally trained coach through Coach Training International. She is a Nationally Certified Career Counselor (NCCC) and has over twenty years of experience uncovering talent and directing it to achieve extraordinary results.

Helen is comfortable inspiring audiences large and small with her authentic, approachable style. In her keynote “Unlikely Grit” speech she describes her own story of becoming a successful business owner, utilizing a change model that she has developed. It offers practical, eye opening insights on how to maximize career potential and overcome fears. 

As an executive and business coach, Helen has helped hundreds of mid-to-upper level executives accelerate their career success and develop their leadership skills. Insightful, supportive, knowledgeable, and experienced are some of the terms her clients use to describe her. She inspires leaders and professionals seeking fulfillment in their careers—and avenues to inspire their employees.  

Helen is the inventor and author of the Elevations suite of assessments designed to assist individuals in career transition or to enhance employee engagement. Elevations is utilized in organizations and in consultant practices around the world.
