Fulfilled by Facilitators

I hope you are enjoying my review of the four temperaments. They are the foundation of the Elevations Career Assessment for students or adults.

I have already covered the Liberator and the Organizer in previous posts. Today, I want to focus on the Facilitator. This preference shows up in 12% of the global population and is sometimes called the Idealist.

If you have a Facilitator preference, you are people-centered and concerned with helping others grow and reach their full potential. You need to do meaningful work that makes the world a better place. You might be drawn to help individuals overcome obstacles in their lives, tap into their internal reservoir of resilience, and use their courage.

You probably did not get far into your life before you were told you are over-sensitive. You take things personally and struggle to remain objective in the face of criticism. As a balance point, finding people who listen to you with understanding and unconditional love is essential to your happiness and health. Your capacity to read people, support emotional expression and encourage others makes you a superior helping professional.

Here are some other common traits of capabilities of a true Facilitator. You are:

  • A skilled communicator who values teamwork and collaboration.
  • Authentic and non-judgmental, naturally supporting diversity and inclusion.
  • An outstanding listener, willing to embrace a range of perspectives.
  • Respected for your interpersonal skills.
  • Committed to balance in your life, needing to take time to regroup and recharge.
  • Effective in seeing the big picture and developing a vision for yourself and others.

Your natural ability to support and nurture others makes you an outstanding coach, teacher, or healer. You are curious about multiple ways to gain insight and grow. This might include astrology, psychic readings, or traditional religious pathways. Understanding your purpose is essential to feeling fulfilled and aligned.

If you relate to much of what has been said here, you might yearn for moments of lightheartedness or an escape from your deep emotional capacity. Your love for walking, gardening, or cooking are examples of ways you ground yourself. Taking the time to wiggle your toes in the grass will balance you and give you energy.

Every person on the planet is grateful to you, the Facilitator. You expand our hearts, help us grow, and give us a soft place to land on a rough day. Thank you!
