Your Concerns are Real

“What’s stopping you?” This question is designed to push you. It assumes the reasons you are stuck are not a big deal. When it comes to your career, let me be the one to say, there are very real, big reasons why you are not diving into the career of your dreams.

Reason Number One: You don’t know what the dream career is.

The world of work is vast. It takes time and the right resources to clarify the right career path. You are immobilized if you don’t know what would make you happy and fit your talents. The fear and anxiety bubble up, and you stop making forward progress.

Here’s what you can do: Take the Elevations career assessment. Use this amazingly accurate tool to clarify your values, identify your enjoyable skills, learn about your personality, and determine the field and function that will align with your unique talents.

Reason Number Two: Knowing what you want is not enough.

Even if you are armed with a goal, the possibility of failure still looms. What if you can’t find a job? What if you are not good at it? Will it pay enough for you to survive? I’m not trying to discourage you here. I just want to address the real obstacles you are facing.

Here’s what you can do: Hire a Certified Career Coach Entrepreneur, specifically trained to interpret the Elevations Career Assessment. Don’t go it alone. Get the support and perspective a coach can offer. Remember, your career pays for everything else in your life. Investing in a qualified career coach helps you manage your anxiety and operate from a clear strategy.

Career success is not magic. It requires courage and good resources. Today, I suggest you stop asking, “What’s stopping you?” and start asking, “What resources and support do I need to move forward with confidence?”
